Born May 9, 1931 in Cabarrus County to the late Adam Long and Lizzie Clay Long. She was a member of United Freewill Baptist in Concord, NC and a retired spinner from Cannon Mills. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord on Sunday, March 7, 2010 from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord on Monday, March 8, 2010 at 2 pm officiated by Rev. James Shoemaker. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis, NC. Edith is preceeded in death by her parents, Adam Long and Lizzie Clay Long and brothers, Richard "Dick" Long, Adam "A.J." Long Jr., Carl "Smokey" Long, and William "Boots" Long.
