Edmond Luther Brown, 85 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 at Stanly Manor.
Mr. Brown was born April 22, 1932 in Stanly County to the late Willis Edmond Brown and the late Celie Isabelle Brown. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Clark Brown.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. Adam Hatley and Rev. Burley Moore. Burial will follow at the Canton Baptist Church Cemetery, 24615 Endy Road, Albemarle. At other times, the family will receive friends at Edmond's home.
Survivors include son, Gary Edmond Brown and wife Lou of Wake Forest; daughter, Betty Kimrey and husband Danny of Albemarle; grandchildren, Leslie Eudy and husband Jeremy and Justin Kimrey and wife Kelly both of Albemarle, Kevin Brown and wife Samantha of Knightdale and Maegan Tart and husband Nick of Raleigh; great grandchildren, Shaun, Madison, Hunter, Conner, Nathan, and Jaxon; and step great grandchildren, Hunter, Hannah, Ryker, Har'leigh, Dalton, and Presley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Albemarle Baptist Church, 336 Church Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
