Edna Earle Billington, 92 years of age, of Charlotte, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Carolinas HealthCare System University in Charlotte.
Edna was born March 16, 1925 in North Carolina to the late Robert Jones Barber Sr. and the late Maggie Stone Barber. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mamie Gregory; and brother, Otis Barber.
There will be a private service with burial at Highland Burial Park, Danville, VA.
Survivors include husband, Donald Gene Billington of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Linda Parker (Sam) of Greensboro; son, Dr. Stanley Knick, III (Barbara) of Pembroke, NC; grandchildren, Mary Ellen Vintinner of High Point, NC; Eddie Parker, Courtney, Kim and J.D., Bryan and Telisa; great grandchildren, Justin Vintinner, Blake Vintinner, Christopher, Emily, Madeline, Kaleigh, Kara, Sophia and Jacob; sister, Virginia Arrant of South Boston, VA; sister-in-Law, Thelma Barber of Charlotte; brothers Rev. R.J. (Justine) Barber, Jr. of Danville, VA; Dr. Raymond (Mary Helen) Barber of Fort Worth, TX; Howard (Judy) Barber of Charlotte; Dr. William (Lalanne) Barber of Apex, NC; Dr. Douglas (Sue) Barber of Danville, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
