Edna Mae Epps, 81 years of age, of Richfield, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016 at her home after celebrating Christmas with her loving family.
Mrs. Epps was born June 15, 1935 in Stanly County to the late Eddie Monroe Dick and the late Annie Laverna Dick. She was also preceded in death by her former husband, Bobby R. Epps; brothers, Ishmael Dick and Lester Dick; and sisters, Annie Dick Harwood and Mary Dick Harwood.
She was a retired nurse who worked for ALCOA as an industrial nurse and as a nurse in the offices of Dr. W.O. Jolley and Dr. Thomas F. Kelly.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle. Burial will follow at the Fairview Memorial Park at 2001 E. Main St, Albemarle.
Survivors include daughters, Teresa Epps Lowder and husband Charles Steven of Albemarle, Denise Epps Snow and husband John Rex of OK, and Anita Epps Almond and husband William of Albemarle; sons, Ronald Epps and wife Cherie Chitwood of Richfield and Kevin Epps of Albemarle; seven grandchildren, Michael Lowder, Morgan Casey, Christina Weber, Cora-Lee Snow, Sarah Snow, Brandy Almond, and Jacob Almond; three step-grandchildren, J.D. Dunn, Jonathan Dunn, and Scott Dunn; eight great grandchildren, Haley Lowder, Zachary Lowder, Elijah Lowder, Penelope Lowder, Noah Weber, Ryan Almond, Quinn Almond, and Breonna Drye; and brothers, Elmer Dick of GA and Herman Dick of Albemarle.
