Edna Freeze

Edna O’Neill Hartsell Freeze, 90, of Concord, went to the Lord on Thursday, November 22, 2012. Visitation will be Monday, November 26, 2012 from 10 am to 12 noon at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord with a service to follow in the chapel at 12:00 noon. Mrs. Freeze was born July 5, 1922 to the late David and Ora Hartsell, of Kannapolis. Until her retirement she was employed with McGill Child Care Development Center as a dietician. For many years she catered weddings and events in this area. Mrs. Freeze was a charter member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Concord and later years attended Kerr Memorial Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School for many years and was active in Women’s Missionary Work in the Cabarrus Association. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Freeze was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Faggart Freeze and by her four brothers Ralph Hartsell, Larry Hartsell, J.C. Hartsell and Hugh Hartsell. She is survived by her; sons, Joel Freeze and wife Beth, Jerle Freeze and wife Debbie; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Mallory Freeze; three sisters, Colene Goodman, Mary Kissiah, Ruth Love. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Immanuel Baptist Church, 600 Spring St., Concord, NC 28025 or to Kerr Baptist Church, 25 NC 49, Concord, NC 28025.
