Edna Morrison

Mrs. Edna Stancil Morrison, 89 years of age, of Midland, passed away Monday, April 13, 2015 at her home.

Edna was born December 5, 1925 in Cabarrus County to the late Martin Luther Stancil, Sr. and the late Addie Hathcock Stancil. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnson Robert (Rob) Morrison in 2000; stepmother, Tillie G. Stancil; sisters, Myrtle S. Tucker, Carolyn S. Barrier, and Doris S. Shinn; and step sister, Velma Aldridge

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service officiated by Rev. Mark Clontz, will be at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Bethel United Methodist Church, 12700 Idlebrook Road, Midland, NC 28107. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She is also survived by her son, Johnny Morrison and wife, Lita of Midland; daughters, Sharon Hartsell and husband, Bill of Midland, Patricia Baggarly and husband, Bruce of Marietta, GA, and Robin Blackwell and husband, David of Midland; one brother, Martin L. Stancil Jr. of Kannapolis; 12 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.
