Edna Mae Taylor Olson, 102 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 at Stanly Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Olson was born October 30, 1913 in Hyde Park, Massachusetts to the late James and Annie Clark Taylor . She was also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Frank Olson as well as two sisters and five brothers .
The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 pm, Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle . The funeral service will be on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 11:00 am at First Lutheran Church, 230 S. Second Street Albemarle, with Pastor John Futterer officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Memorial Park at 1425 East Main Street, Albemarle.
Survivors include son, Fran and wife Szilvia Olson of Albemarle; daughter, Donna and husband Al Justen of Lillian, Al.; grandchildren, Lisa, Sherry, Erik, Jennifer, Mia, and Alex; 4 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; one adopted son, Kenneth Blunt of Rock Hill, SC.
