Edna Ussery

Edna Louise Lowder Ussery, age 81, of Albemarle, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at Stanly Regional Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, December 30, 2011 at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel, Albemarle. Burial will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory. Mrs. Ussery was born on January 29, 1930 in Stanly County, to the late Jacob Sidney Lowder and the late Ester May Thompson Lowder. She is also preceded in death by her husband, James Ernest Ussery. She is survived by three daughters, Debra Hill, Jo Ussery and Sylvia Wilhoit, all of Albemarle; 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
