Edward Barbee

Edward Grant "Ed" Barbee, 71 of Stanfield, passed away Monday, October 7, 2013 at CMC-NorthEast in Concord . Mr. Barbee was born April 13, 1942 in Stanly County to the late Bruce Edward Barbee and Melvin Louise Lee Barbee. Ed was retired from the US Air Force National Guard, and worked for F&F Construction. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland on Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 1 until 2 pm. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 2 pm. Burial will be at a later date at The Salisbury National Cemetery. Survivors include sisters, Sue King and husband Larry King and Dorothy Furr and husband Floyd Ray Furr all of Concord; numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Barbee family.
