Edward Brattain

Edward James Brattain, 83 years of age, of Locust , passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 at Bethany Woods in Albemarle. Edward was born April 18, 1930 in Stanly County to the late Lee Sylvester Brattain and the late Lectia Anne Brattain. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Midland officiated by Rev. Clint Lewey. Burial will follow at the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery at 9360 Oak Grove Rd., Stanfield. Survivors include wife, Adeline Mary Brattain of Albemarle, NC, stepson, Oscar Michael Ervin of Monroe, NC, sister, Francis Mullis of Locust, NC, sister, Shirley Bowers, sister, Zazel Page, grandson, Michael Ashley Ervin of Charlotte, NC. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Brattain family.
