Edward Davis

Mr. Edward Bruce Davis, 85, of 21093 Biles Road, Albemarle, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at CMC Main in Charlotte. He was born on February 7, 1925 in Goldsboro, NC to the late Marvin and Esther Rose Davis. Edward is also preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Parker Davis and brother, Gordon Davis. He was a member of Plyer Baptist Church and a veteran of the US Navy. Mr. Davis was a retired manager from Unifirst. He was a member of Stokes Masonic Lodge #32 AF and AM as well as a Scottish Rite Mason. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011 at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord from 12:00 until 1:30 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Brian Franklin officiating. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Davis, of the home; daughters, Pamela Lefler and husband, Jackie, of Concord and Debbie McIntosh, of Kannapolis; brother, Tom Davis; grandchildren, Cassie Lefler Measimer, Brian Foster, Tonya Foster Outen, Jason Foster, Heather Lefler Gainey, and Shannon Jackson Lefler; 17 great grandchildren; extended family, Diane Herrin, Wanda and Steve Morgan, and Jerry and Cindy Herrin.
