Edward Gaddy

Edward Allen Gaddy, 59 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015 at his home with his family by his side.

Allen was born October 9, 1955 in Montgomery County to Walter Edward Gaddy and Billie Rose Mauldin Gaddy, both of Mt. Gilead. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Tammy Whitley and nephew Ben Thompson.

In addition to his parents, Walter Ed and Billie Rose Gaddy, he is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Tracy Lynn Almond Gaddy of the home; son, Thomas Gaddy of Albemarle; grandchildren, Trenton and Camden Gaddy, both of Albemarle; sisters, Sharon Thompson and husband Dale of Mt. Gilead, Melanie Flemming and husband Glenn of Asheboro; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dog, Petey.

Allen was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He had a sweet spirit and always put everyone else first. Allen spent most of his time enjoying outdoor activities with his wife, son, grandchildren and dog Petey. He loved spending time at the beach and in the mountains, hiking and camping. He also enjoyed fishing, riding horses and grilling for his family.

Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Gaddy family.
