Edward Greene

Edward Wilson “Buck” Greene, 81, of Concord, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at home. The family will receive friends at Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church 3600 Hwy 601 South Concord on Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 1 until 2 pm. Funeral services will follow at 2 pm, officiated by Rev. Keith Copeland. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, with military rites performed by Cabarrus County Veterans Honor Guard. Buck was born on April 13, 1931 in Cabarrus County, to the late Homer Boyd and Elma Downum Greene. He was also preceded in death by a son Eddie Greene. He is survived by his wife, Irene Barringer Greene of the home; daughters, Joy Hooks and husband Robert of Concord and Nancy McGhee of Mt. Pleasant; sister, Ethel Little of Harrisburg; brothers, Everette Greene, Mack Greene, and Jack Greene all of Concord; grandchildren, Chris McGhee, Daris Hooks, Megan Hooks, and John Nolan; great grandchildren, Harrison McGhee and Christopher G.
