Edward Howard

Edward Warren "Bill" Howard, 86, of Oakboro, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Bethany Woods Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Albemarle. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 4:00PM at Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Oakboro and will be officiated by Rev. Rod Denny. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall. Born March 23, 1927 in Stanly County, NC, he is the son of the late Sidney Ellis Howard and the late Odessa Collette Howard. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Baucom. At other times the family will meet at the home. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margie Broadway Howard of Oakboro; daughters, Rita Howard Little of Baxter. Tennessee, Chris Howard of Oakboro. and Cathy Connell and husband James of Peachland, NC, and one son, Lanny Howard and wife, Beth, of Albemarle; and grandson, Jordan Howard.
