Edward Mason

Mr. Edward Earl "Ebb" Mason, 77, of 1318 Washington Lane Kannapolis passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at W.G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury. Born on August 21, 1933 in Cabarrus County to the late Clarence and Mary Easley Lowder. Mr. Mason was also preceded in death by brothers Leonard, Joe, Tom, and Johnny Mason. Mr. Mason was a veteran of the US Navy. He retired from Fieldcrest Cannon Mills as a machine operator, and was of the Baptist faith. The family meeting place will at the home. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord on Monday, September 27, 2010 from 12:30 until 1:45 PM. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 2 PM, with the Rev. Wade Eason officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis, with military rites performed by the Cabarrus County Veterans Honor Guard. Survived by: sisters, Emma Hargett of Concord, and Joyce Allen of Kannapolis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Hartsell Funeral Home Concord is serving the Mason family.
