Edwige Jacquet

Edwige Jacquet, 71, of Cape Coral, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Cape Coral Hospital, FL.

Edwige Jacquet was born on November 27, 1948 in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, to the late Talma Jacquet and Caceras Bertin.  He was known to many as "Guy", "Gee," "Jack," or "Jackie."

Mr. Jacquet was always up-to-date on current events and politics.  He was considered our "news reporter."  He was the life of the party and was busy doing something somewhere. "Gee" was unforgettable.  He always left a lasting impression upon everyone he met. "Gee" loved dancing and would always be the first one on the dance floor. He enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with his family.  "Gee" was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Survivors include beloved wife of 40 years, Ermilienne Jacquet; daughter, Shirley Jacquet of Fayetteville, NC; daughter, Suzy Jacquet of Charlotte, NC; three grandchildren, Cheyenne Blankinship, Zavier Farlow, and Journie Riley; three brothers, Thomas Jacquet, Brent Jacquet, and Rousseau Colas; four sisters, Chrismeine Mathurin, Asmene Bertin, Simone LaGrace, and Gertrudis Palma; and several nieces and nephews.

The viewing will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Chapel, 1589 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers, FL. Only 10 people will be allowed at a time.  Masks are required and temperatures will be checked at the door.  A private funeral service in Harrisburg, NC, will be webcast live on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 12:30 pm; https://video.ibm.com/channel/drygeSYpxX7  Edwige Jacquet will be laid to rest at Charlotte Memorial Gardens, Charlotte, NC.
