Elaine Cochran

Cheryl Elaine Cochran, 68, of Stanfield, NC passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Atrium Health Stanly in Albemarle.

Cheryl was born July 7, 1951 in Albemarle, NC to the late Aps Charlie Smith and the late Gladys Mae Brooks Smith.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Christopher Michael Cochran and husband, Michael Reid Cochran.

Survivors include her daughter, Julie Cheryl Grieco and husband Anthony of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren Amber Riddle, Andrew, Alexus and Ana Burris; great granddaughter Cassidy Rae Riddle; brother John David Smith and wife Sally of Stanfield, NC; nephews Josh Smith and wife Ashley, and Axel Smith.

Cheryl loved her children and grandchildren dearly.  She spent most of her life caring for her family and loved ones.  It gave her great joy to provide comfort and love to others in need.  She will truly be missed by all those who knew her.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 10:45 am, Friday, February 7, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Stanfield. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am, officiated by Rev. Bruce League.  Burial will take place in the church cemetery.

Memorials in Cheryl's memory may be made to First Baptist Church of Stanfield.
