Elizabeth Dantism

Elizabeth “Ann” Dantism, 65, of Concord North Carolina, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord.

Ann was born September 17, 1957, in Elberton Georgia to the late Marshal Webster Sanders and the late Jimmie Ray Sanders.

Ann was an exceptionally kind and caring mother, wife, sister, and friend. She was a long-time middle school science and social studies teacher. You could always find Her either in the kitchen, cooking up one of Her wonderful homemade meals, or in Her garden, growing a multitude of flowers and vegetables, which She loved to share. In addition to gardening and cooking, she was proficient in several crafts, including sewing, crocheting, and cross-stitching. The Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina were Her happy place where she spent many weekends attending blue-grass music festivals, but Her home state of Georgia “Go Dawgs” was always on Her mind. She also enjoyed the fellowship with her sisters in Christ at Providence Baptist Church. Anyone who knew her loved her, and she will be greatly and dearly missed by her family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 7th from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm, at Providence Baptist Church in Harrisburg, 5315 State Hwy 49, Harrisburg, NC 28075. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm, officiated by Dr. John Cashwell. Burial will follow at the Charlotte Memorial Gardens, 7632 Hood Rd, Charlotte, NC 28215

Survivors include her husband, Frank Dantism of Concord, NC, daughter Suzanne Doad and husband Dilraj Doad, son Christopher Dantism and wife Kelly Dantism, son Matthew Dantism, brother David Sanders and wife Trish Sanders, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flower memorials, the family asks that donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
