Elizabeth Grissom

Elizabeth "Vicki" Grissom, 70, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018 at her home.

Mrs. Grissom was born September 2, 1947 in Cabarrus County to the late Vaughn Manson Smith and the late Faye Novella Petrea Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gurney Dean Grissom.

Vicki retired from Stanly Regional Hospital and was loved by everyone. She was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church.Vicki loved traveling with and spending time with her family.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Tuesday, May 15, 2018  at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1309 Old Charlotte Road in Albemarle officiated by Rev. Joe Smith. Burial will follow at the Smith Grove Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Oakboro.

Survivors include daughter, Sarah Ashley Grissom (Michael Stamper); sons; Timothy Ragan and wife Michelle, and Scott Dennis; grandchildren, Aaron, Emily, Aiden, Kendall, and Karlye; sisters, Patsy Taylor, Nancy Little, Brenda Hill, Lynda Smith, Shirley Davis, Dale Beachum, and Marilyn Lankford; a brother, Tommy Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
