Elizabeth Wagoner

Elizabeth Wagoner, age 89, died at Stanly Regional Medical Center on Dec. 30, 2009. She was born April 20, 1920 in Stanly County to the late Matthew "Math" James Moss and Mattie Thomasson Moss. She is also preceded in death by her husband David "Ted" L. Wagoner, a sister Iris Moss Hill, sister Hazelene Moss Herrin, sister Leodia Moss and two grandchildren; Matthew and Emily Wagoner. She was self employed in childcare and was a member of the St. Paul Wesleyan Church. She is survived by her sons Tommy Wagoner and wife Mary, Lawsonville, NC and David Wagoner and wife Patricia of Denton, NC. She has two daughters; Saundra Fine of New London and Jill Williams and husband Monte of Misenheimer, NC. She is also survived by her sister Helen Moss Riley, Palm Bay, FL, caregiver and special friend Diane Beaver, caregiver Juanita Hopkins, 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. A visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 31 from 6 - 8 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home - Albemarle. A service will be held Friday, January 1 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Wesleyan Church with Rev. Roland Smith and Rev. George Sheppard officiating. Interment will be at St. Paul Wesleyan Church Cemetery.
