Ellen Clontz

Ellen Irene McLain Clontz, 79 years of age, of Kannapolis, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast in Concord.

Ellen was born September 17, 1938 in Concord, NC, to the late Robert Calvin McLain and the late Margaret Hooks Mullis.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Clifford Columbus Clontz, and four sisters.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Monday, October 16, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow at 7:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be the next day at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 17,2017 at the West Concord Cemetery, 331 Union Cemetery Rd SW, Concord.

Survivors include daughter, Margaret (Danny) Love of Concord; son, Erastus (Betty) Clontz of Albemarle; two brothers, Larry McLain of FL, and Dennis McLain of NC; seven sisters, Nancy Brown and Rhonda Foushee of Concord, Jeanette Anderson and Wanda Rayfield of Monroe, Annette Rhinehardt of Salisbury, Jan Neal of MD, and Marty Shaffer of TN; five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
