Elmer Peter Charnoski, 90, of Concord, NC passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 at the McWhorter Hospice House in Monroe, NC.
Elmer was born July 24, 1930 in Luzerne, PA to the late Peter Charnoski and Anna Raczkowski Charnoski. He was also preceded in death by siblings, John, Edward, and Josephine Charnoski, Catherine Jones, and Loretta Slavinski.
There are no services at this time.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Maria Elena Charnoski of Concord, NC; daughter, Ann Marie (Anthony) Valles of Concord, NC; brother, Charles Charnoski of Nanticoke, PA; grandchildren, Nicholas, Brianna, and Zackary Valles; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Elmer was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. He honorably served his country in the United States Army and Air Force Reserves. He was a packaging mechanic at Schering-Plough for 39 years. Using his knack for landscaping and love of the outdoors, he was also owner and operator of Charnoski Landscaping and Design. Elmer also enjoyed snow skiing, fishing, painting, wood working, and spending time with his grandchildren.
