Eloise Clark

Virginia Eloise O'Briant Clark, 85 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. Eloise was born on May 5, 1929 in Roxboro. She graduated from Roxboro High School and UNC-Greensboro (Woman's College). She received her Masters degree from Appalachian State University.

Eloise was a teacher and a homemaker. She was also a faithful member of Central United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Chancel Choir and on many committees. She was a member of the United Methodist Women and taught children's Sunday School classes. Mrs. Clark served as the secretary of the Stanly County Community Concert, and was a past president and charter member of the Floralian Garden Club.

Eloise was married to Robert T. "Pete" Clark for 57 years before his death in 2009. She is survived by three daughters, Anne Clark Frazier and husband Mark of Kernersville, Ginny Clark Burris and husband Kerry of New London, and Nancy Clark Moody and husband David of Cary; grandchildren, Emily Frazier Spruill and husband Lee, Ryan Burris and wife Andrea, Holly Moody and Sarah Moody; and great-grandchildren, Davis Spruill and Isabel Spruill.

The funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6, at Central United Methodist Church and will be officiated by Rev. Jim Yow and Ryan Burris. Burial will follow the service at Fairview Memorial Park, 1425 East Main Street, Albemarle. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. in the church Life Center.

The family would like to thank Spring Arbor Assisted Living and Community Home Care and Hospice of Troy for being so kind and giving to their mother.
