Elsa Alice Warren Bowman, 58 years of age of Monroe, formerly of Locust, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Ms. Bowman was born July 28, 1954 in Mecklenburg County to the late William Palmer Warren and Annie Catherine Carriker Warren. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Billie Ann Fincannon. She was a waitress at Locust Restaurant for 20 years and retired as a teller at First Bank of Locust. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Saturday, August 18, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Midland. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, at Euto Baptist Church, 6019 Hwy. 205, Marshville, NC, officiated by Rev. Lee Davis. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will meet at the home of Joe King, 3507 Watson Church Road, Monroe. Survivors include her daughters, Katie Sells and her husband, David, of Landis and Sara Robinson and her husband, C. J., of Concord; her son, Lane Bowman of Stanfield; her fiancé, Joe King of Monroe; her grandchildren, Madison and Tanner Inman, Carli, Kelby and Saylor Bowman, Anna Henderson, and Lauren Robinson; her brothers, Ray Warren of Stanley and John Warren of Catawba; her sisters, Brenda Coleman of Mint Hill and Becky McDonald of Garden City, S. C.; and her two furry friends, Prissy and Sophie.
