Elsa Linker

Elsa Tench Linker, 95, of Midland, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at PruittHealth - Town Center in Harrisburg.

Elsie was born April 1, 1927 in Mecklenburg County to the late Dillard Edward Tench and the late Lillie Beatrice Tench.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Lloyd Lee Linker; brothers, Ross Tench, Rex Tench, and George Tench; and sisters, Ruth  Jones and Martha Mae Cathey.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm - 1:45 pm, Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Westford United Methodist Church. The funeral service will be on Saturday at 2:00 pm at Westford United Methodist Church, 273 Highway 49 South, Concord officiated by Arval Rushing. Burial will take place at the Forest Lawn West Mausoleum at 4601 Freedom Dr., Charlotte on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 11:00 am.

Survivors include sons, Kenneth (Rita) Linker of Oakboro, Allen (Tish) Linker of Midland, and Michael (Barbara) Linker of Concord; daughters, Janet (Jeff) Rushing of Concord, and Janice (Rick) Criscoe of Concord; sisters, Esther Smith and Jeanette Davis; brother, Dillard Tench, Jr.; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Elsie was a devoted member of Pine Bluff United Methodist Church. She faithfully served as a sunday school teacher, treasurer, and a member of various church committees.

Elsie was the happiest when she was surrounded by family, loving on her grand babies, and serving others.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at The Living Center of Concord and at PriuttHealth/ Hospice.
