Elsie Cress

Elsie Elizabeth Cress, 79, of Concord, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast. Mrs. Cress was born June 18, 1934 to the late Claude and Adgie Mullis. The family will receive at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Rodney Quisenberry will be held at Broadus Baptist Church, 59 Green St. SW, Concord, NC 28027 on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 11:00am. She will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park of Kannapolis. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Robert Cress of the home; four sons, Mike Cress of Concord, Randy Cress of Concord, Jef Cress of Charlotte and Tracy Cress of Concord; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Broadus Baptist Church, 59 Green St. SW, Concord, NC 28027. Hartsell Funeral Home is serving the Cress family.
