Emily Joy Hitch Carter, age 45 of Harrisburg, North Carolina passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017.
Emily was born March 16, 1972 in Montgomery, Alabama to Andy DeLozier Hitch and Marilyn Elizabeth Bryan Hitch.
Emily was a devoted Christian who faithfully served the Lord. She loved teaching Bible studies, writing and helping others grow in their faith.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 11, 2017 from 3:30 - 5 p.m. at University Hills Baptist Church, 1500 Suther Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28213, services will begin at 5 p.m. officiated by Dr. Coye Still. Burial will be private.
Survivors include her husband, Hayden Brown Carter of Harrisburg, NC, three children; Coleman, Grace, and Rachel. Other survivors include; her father, Andy DeLozier Hitch and; her mother, Marilyn Elizabeth Bryan Hitch; one sister, Elizabeth Hitch and one brother, Michael Hitch and wife Julie.
