Emily Drye

Emily Geneva Drye, age 73, of Concord and Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
Emily was born December 14, 1943 in Concord to the late Robert Seth McManus and the late Elsie Geneva Sides McManus. She was also preceded in death by husband, Buford Ward Drye; daughter, Ginger Elaine Drye; and brother, Jerry McManus.
Services will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord. The family will receive friends from 12- 1:45 pm. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm in the chapel, officiated by Rev. Ronnie Cooper. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Concord.
Survivors include grandson, Dillan Parker Drye; four sisters, Peggy Adams, Doris Talbert, Hilda Utley and Elaine (Barry) Simpson; two brothers, Donald (Gail) McManus and Robert (Jolley) McManus; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
