Emmett Dean Bohmont, age 10 months, of Harrisburg, NC passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018 at home with family by his side.
Emmett was born November 8, 2017 in Concord, NC to Cory Dean Bohmont and Amanda Troffer Bohmont. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Kay and Gary Bohmont.
Emmett was born 2 months early, but he was a little warrior, and spent 26 days in the NICU. He always had a sparkle in his eye. Patty-cake would always make him laugh. He loved to be rocked and held. His favorite song was "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by Judy Garland. He enjoyed traveling across the country on a 20-day family road-trip. He adored his siblings. Ruby made him smile most. Emmett will be forever loved and he will always hold a special place in our hearts.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish Emmett's life (also lovingly known as "Hamlog") include brothers, Jake and Travis; sisters, Kyleigh and Ruby; maternal grandparents, Larry and Tricia Troffer; maternal great-grandparents, Glenwood and Yukie James; paternal great-grandmother, Joann Bohmont; aunts, Carrie (Danny) Cunningham, Cristi (Dan) Anderson, Colleen (Peter) Paik, Janelle (Larry Weng) Troffer; uncles, Patch (Lilli Sherman) Troffer and Garrett (Aubrey Fohl) Troffer; several cousins; aunt, Amber (Paul Guza) Burris; uncle, Andrew Cox; and grandmother, Amy Cox.
The memorial service will be held 4:30 pm Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The family will receive friends following the service.
