Eric Shank

Eric Christopher Shank, 41 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away Monday, October 6, 2014 at his home.

Chris was born May 3, 1973 in Stanly County to the late Rodney Shank and Christina Gregory.

The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The service will be at 11 am on Friday at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel. The burial will follow at Canton Baptist Church in Albemarle. At other times the family will be gathering at his wife's home, 914 Ansonville Polkton Rd., Wadesboro.

He is survived by his wife, Christy Lynn Ponds Shank of Albemarle; mother, Christina Gregory and husband Thomas of Rock Hill, SC; daughter, Tiffany Gregory of Rock Hill, SC; grandmother, Frances Stevens of Albemarle; half brother, Ben Shank of Albemarle; and stepmother, Wendy Williams of Albemarle.

Chris was a truck driver for Misenheimer Trucking in Gold Hill. He had a love for drag racing. He enjoyed the lake and going out on the boat.
