Ernest Harrison Troutman, 74, of Concord, passed away on May 19, 2016 at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast.
He was born on February 21, 1942 to Herman and Margaret (Scott) Troutman in Midland, NC. He attended school up to the 10th Grade. Ernest worked as a self-employed carpenter. On June 18, 1961 he married Carolyn Kiker. Ernest and Carolyn lived in Concord, NC.
Ernest was a member of Miami Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Troutman; father, Herman Harrison Troutman and mother Margaret Troutman.
Ernest is survived by his loving children, son, Kenneth Troutman and Kevin Troutman; daughters, Kimberly Daniels, Karen Mason, Kristen Carpenter, Tricia McSwain, Kitsie Shaver; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 6-8 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord, NC. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2 pm, at Miami Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will take place at the Miami Baptist Church Cemetery immediately following the service.
