Esther Tucker

Esther Louise Coley Tucker, age 70 of, 14086 A Liberty Hill Church Road, Oakboro, passed away on July 22, 2011 at her home. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6 to 8 at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle. The funeral service will be Monday at 4 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel. Rev. Jeff Smith, Rev. Mike Burkett and her son, Buster Green will officiate. For many years she was a seamstress for East Apparel and most recently she was a greeter at Walmart in Locust. She was of the Baptist Faith. Born in Stanly County on May 22,1941, she was a daughter of the late Etheron Roe Coley and the late Esther Rozelle Hatley Coley; brothers, John, Fred, TJ and Roy Coley and sisters, Mae Broadaway and Frances Britt. She is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Tucker of the home; sons, Buster Green of Oakboro, Garry Greene of Cottonville, Darryl Greene of Salisbury and Michael Tucker of Oakboro; daughters, Cathy Cratty of Ansonville and Shirley Mason of Oakboro; brother, Junior Coley of Oakboro; sisters, Barbara Lowder of Albemarle and Kathryn Erskine of Zephyr Hills, Fla; 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
