Ethel Hough

Ethel Lucille Hough, 85, of Kannapolis, passed away, Saturday, January 26, 2013 at her home. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Hartsell Funeral Home’s Chapel with Rev. Dodd Parrish, Sr., officiating. The burial will be in Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. At other times, the family will meet at her home. Born July 11, 1927 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Cline Hartsell and the late Ethel Goodman Hartsell. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Hartsell, and two sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Darnell Columbus Smith of Whiteville and Carolyn Elizabeth Smith of Kannapolis; one sister, Maxine Peatre; seven grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She always thought of others and put them before herself. She lived by her Biblle and taught her children God’s Way. She was loved and will be missed.
