Eula Mullis Jenkins, 96 years of age, of Concord, passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 with her loving family by her side.
Born in Monroe, NC, on May 1, 1919, she was the daughter of the late James Marshall Mullis and the late Sophronia Emeline Tarlton Mullis.
The family will receive friends at 2:00pm Saturday, March 26 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm, officiated by Pastor Mike McGee. Burial will take place following the ceremony at Oakwood Cemetery in Concord.
Eula lived in Concord for over 60 years with her late husband, Horace Baldwin Jenkins. She retired from Belk's at Carolina Mall and was a member of Shiloh Truelight Church in Mint Hill. She was an active volunteer for many years with the American Legion Post 51, the Veteran's Hospital in Salisbury and Country Neighbors. Eula loved her bridge club, dance club, cooking, gardening and canning.
Survivors include her son, J.F. "Jeff" Morgan and wife Shirley of Stanfield; daughters, Marsha Jenkins Magol and husband Byron of Tampa FL; and Cookie Jenkins Lee of Charlotte; sister, Vivian Mullis of Monroe; brother, James Mullis of Monroe; 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jenkins was predeceased in death by her two sons, Paul Lee Morgan, Donald Richard Morgan and 11 brothers and sisters.
