Eunice Baucom

Eunice Marie Kennedy Baucom, age 81 of Oakboro passed away on October 02, 2010 at Britthaven of the Piedmont in Albemarle. Although there will not be a formal visitation, family and friends are welcome to come by Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle, to view and pay their respects anytime after 6 PM on Tuesday. There will be a graveside service at Oakboro Cemetery on Wednesday at 11 AM. Rev. Gerald Baucom will officiate. She was an inspector for Stanly Knitting Mills in Oakboro and a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church. Born in Stanly County, NC on March 30, 1929, she is the daughter of the late Audie Lee Kennedy and the late Hettie Lectie Boone Kennedy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Glenn Baucom, Sr. in 2008; her son Roger Dale Baucom and sisters,Yvonne Huneyutt and Laura Brooks. She is survived by son, James “Junior” Glenn Baucom, Jr. and wife Donna of Oakboro; brother, Olan Kennedy of SC; sister, Lois Thomas of Oakboro; grandchildren, Eric Baucom and wife Amie, Amy Lowder and husband Travis and Mandy Baucom; and great grandchildren, Logan Baucom, Kinsey Lowder and Kane Lowder and daughter in law Linda Baucom. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
