Eunice Stough

Eunice Bernett Kiser Stough, 87 years of age, of Concord, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Transitional Health Care in Kannapolis.

Eunice was born November 4, 1927 in Cabarrus County to the late James Franklin Kiser and the late Minnie McDonald Kiser. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lee "Jack" R. Stough, Jr.; sisters, Thelma Kiser Little, Pearl Little, and Mary Greene; and brothers, David, Grady, Clyde, and Stewart Kiser.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Darrell Huneycutt, will be at 3:00 pm on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Oak Ridge Baptist Church, 5240 Flowes Store Rd., Concord. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times the family will be gathering at the home.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy York and husband Roy of Concord; two grandchildren, Doug McLaurin and Chris McLaurin and wife Claudia, both of Concord; three great-grandchildren, Andy, Kyrsten, Cameron McLaurin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Eunice was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved children, and being a caretaker for handicapped children. She also enjoyed reading.
