Eva Hatley

Eva Estelle Smith Hatley, Age 87 of 20885 Ridgecrest Road, Locust, NC 28097, passed away on November 12, 2009 at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle. Born in Stanly County on May 11, 1922. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Ellis Monroe Hatley her mother Leetha Emma Burris Smith, her father Vander Lee Smith her sister Verna Mae Kendall and an infant sister. her brother J. P. Smith. She was of the Primitive Baptist faith and a graduate of Ridgecrest High School. Her life's greatest achievement was raising her fine son. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009 from 10:00 AM 11:00 AM at Hartsell Funeral Home Albemarle. Funeral service will held on Saturday,November 14, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Hartsell Funreal Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel, . with the minister Elder Richard Almond officiating. Burial will follow at Running Creek Primitive Bapt.Ch.Cemetery Eva Hatley was survived by her son Richard Allen Hatley of Locust NC, her sisters Mary Jewell Hatley of Locust NC, Mildred Bunting of Albemarle NC, Marie Smith Paden of Charlotte NC, her brother Roy L. Smith.
