Eva Taylor

Eva Barbee Taylor, 88 years of age, of Stanfield, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 at CMC - Union in Monroe. Eva was born October 4, 1925 in Mecklenburg County to the late James T. Barbee and the late Mamie H. Barbee . She was also preceded in death by husband, Jonah "JC" Calvin Taylor; son, Oscar Ray Lewis; brother, Lumas Barbee; brother, Lawrence Barbee; sister, Faye Baucom; sister, Margie Dixon; and grandson, Oscar Eugene Lewis. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be on Monday at 11:00 am at Community Baptist Church in Locust and will be officiated by Rev. Scott Williams. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Survivors include daughter, Peggy Trull (Ross) Efird of Stanfield; step-sons, Jerry Trull of Murrells Inlet, SC and Ronnie Taylor of Albemarle; three sisters, Alice Love of Albemarle, Rachel Honeycutt of Stanfield, and Dellar Crayton of Stanfield; step-daughter, Dina Taylor of Midland; granddaughter, Cindy Efird Haigler of Monroe; grandson, Steve (Cynthia) Efird of Locust; granddaughter, Robin (Ray) Randall of Norwood; grandson, Junior Lewis of Stanfield; granddaughter, Carolyn Lewis Conner of Stanfield; grandson, Richard Lewis of Stanfield; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
