Evangeline Snider

Evangeline "Vangie" Ruth Snider, 82 years of age, of Locust, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016 at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast in Concord.

Vangie was born July 9, 1933 in Davidson County, NC, to the late Charles Hiram Dockham and the late Helen Julia Dockham. She was also preceded in death by husband, Thurman Howard Snider.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, 13575 Broadway Avenue, Midland, NC 28107 and will be officiated by Rev. Mark Eudy. Burial will follow at the Locust Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Survivors include; daughter, Janet (Robert) James of Locust; son, Jimmy (Brigette) Snider of Fancy Gap, VA; five grandchildren, Crystall Eudy, Robert James, Meredith Baker, Gina Strickland, and Blake Snider; and 13 great-grandchildren.
