Evelyn Clawson

Evelyn Lee Bost Clawson, 73, of Salisbury, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.

Evelyn was born January 5, 1949, in Concord to the late Robert Salvory Bost and the late Ruby Virginia Carpenter Bost.  She was also preceded in death by her sister Ruby Bost and her brother Robert Bost.

Known as Evelyn to some, but Nana by most. She endeared herself to family and friends with her spontaneous humor and quick wit. Nana always had a sweet smile and a twinkle in her eye. Family was everything to her, and she relished in creating lasting memories. She enjoyed frequent trips to the beach and Disney World, but her favorite was visiting the mountains in Fall to savor the season unfolding. Nana showed her love to many by cooking and feeding them. She delighted in gardening, solving puzzles and watching game shows like Wheel of Fortune. Nana’s love was everlasting and will forever live on in our hearts.

Survivors include her children, Donnie (Nicole) Clawson of Salisbury and Michelle Clawson of Salisbury; grandchildren Raul (Ginger) Altunar, Thalia Renteria, and Jasmine Renteria; great-grandchildren Hendrix Altunar; siblings Betty (Jimmy) Earnhardt, Phyllis (Ike) Vause, Donald Wayne (Shelly) Bost; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord.  The funeral service in Celebration of Evelyn's Life will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis.
