Evelyn Hill Crowell, 97, of Oakboro, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019, at her home.

Mrs. Crowell was born May 28, 1921, in Stanly County, to the late Pearl Benjamin Hill and the late Bertie Alice Hill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Crowell; sister, Dorothy Hill; brothers, Don Hill, John Hill, Lowell Hill, Frank Hill, Larry Hill (Brenda), and Doug Hill (Sue).

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM -10:45 AM, Saturday, March 2, 2019, at St. Martin Lutheran Church, 16592 St. Martin Road, Albemarle. The funeral service will follow in the church sanctuary at 11:00 AM officiated by Pastor Frederick Guy. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

Survivors include brothers, Bill Hill and Roger Hill (Lois); sisters-in-law, Elaine Hill and Ruth Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Crowell family.
