Evelyn Jones

Evelyn Ruth Werts Jones, 91, of 7912 Beatties Ford Road Charlotte, NC passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at CMC-NorthEast in Concord. Born on October 17, 1919 in South Bend Indiana to the late Joe and Fannie Werts Mankis. She was also preceded in death by her husband Francis James Jones, Sr., daughter Sharon Ruth Jones and grandson David Jones. Evelyn was a secretary for Utica School System in Utica Michigan, and was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed arts and crafts, and her winter home in Florida. Burial will be at a later date in The National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. She was survived by: son, Jim Jones and wife Susan Blythe of Charlotte, NC; sister, Janice Shoultz and husband Donald of Jersey City, NJ; grandsons, Michael and Jeffrey Jones of Matthews, NC; 5 great-grandchildren.
