Evelyn Medlock

Evelyn Trula Medlock, age 81, of Simpsonville, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis after a short battle with central nervous system lymphoma. Ms. Medlock was born December 11, 1931 to the late Wallace and Willie McCarter. A memorial service will be held at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home in Simpsonville, SC on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 3:00pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the memorial service. Survivors include three children, daughter, Peggy Stokes and husband Ronald of Concord, NC; daughter, Rita Wilson and husband Behn of Boynton Beach, FL; son, Gary Medlock and wife Marilynn of Travelers Rest, SC; seven grandchildren, Colin and Clayton Medlock, Nathan Stokes, Lindsay Mullins, Hannah and Lucas Ayers and Meghan Smith; and three great grandchildren, Jackson Smith, Duncan Ayers and Jaquelin Mullins.
