Evelyn Wilkinson

Evelyn Elizabeth Yow Wilkinson, 79, of 396 Cameron Avenue NE Concord passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. She was born on January 16, 1932 in Cabarrus County to the late James Franklin and Lizzie Whitley Yow. She was also preceded in death by her husband Walter Lee "June" Wilkinson, Jr. The family meeting place will be at the home of her son Johnny at 8510 Unity Church Road Kannapolis. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Thursday, September 29th from 6 until 8 PM. A Service of Death and Resurrection will be held at Hartsell Funeral Concord Chapel on Friday, September 30th at 2 PM, with Chaplain Edward Scott officiating. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery. She is survived by: son, Johnny Monroe Wilkinson and wife Debbie of Kannapolis; daughter, Carolyn Sue Hatley of Concord; grandchildren, Carl Lee Hatley, Bryant Allen Hatley and Kelly Renee Hill all of Concord; great-grandson, Wesley Allen Hatley of Concord.
