Everett Lester Huneycutt, 89, of Cornelius, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at Huntersville Oaks.

Everett was born July 14, 1930, in Stanly County to the late James A. and Maudie Huneycutt.  He was also preceded in death by his sister, Carrie Mullis.

Everett was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.  He was the Founder of Eastern Refrigeration Service, Inc. and a member of the RSES.  Everett was an avid antique car enthusiast and member of the Hornets Nest Region of the AACA Car Club.  He was a member of Williams Masonic Lodge, Cornelius.  He was a very active member and deacon of Eastway Baptist Church for over 62 years and enjoyed Mission Trips, especially to Virginia.

Survivors include beloved wife of 68 years, Marlene Harrington Huneycutt of Cornelius; daughter, Amanda Blythe and husband, Mike, of Concord; son, Lamar Huneycutt and wife, Lisa, of Sherrills Ford; four grandchildren, Hannah Efird and husband, Brian, of Kannapolis, Seth Rogers and wife, Jen, of Concord, Nicolette McCrary and husband, Garrett, of Jacksonville, FL, and Peyton Roberts and husband, Will, of Solana Beach, CA; three great-granddaughters, Erica and Lily Efird, and Quinn McCrary; sister, Roberta Hopkins and husband, Jerry, of Albemarle; brother, Cletus Honeycutt, of Albemarle; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm  - 8:00 pm, Saturday, May 30, 2020, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg.  A graveside service with Masonic Rites and military honors will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday at Stanly Gardens of Memory Mausoleum Chapel in Albemarle, officiated by Pastor David Gales.  Face masks are encouraged.
