Everette Hough

July 8, 1926 — August 15, 2016

  Everette "Bill" Jones Hough, 90 years of age, of Kannapolis, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 at his residence.

Bill was born July 8, 1926 in Concord, North Carolina to the late Sam Jones Hough and Vesta Layton Hough.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Louise Brooks Hough and two sons, Rodney Blake Hough and Everette Wayne "Skip" Hough.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Friday at 11:00 am at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Concord. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.

Survivors include his daughter, Robin Hatley and husband Glenn of Kannapolis, granddaughters, Heather Hatley, Alison Sloop, Katherine Mize, and Christy Davis; grandson, Tyler Hough, great grandsons, Dalton Sloop, Braedon Hough, Bryson Stancil and Ramsey Marra; great granddaughters, Avery Sloop and Bryleigh Hough.

Bill was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the European Campaign and was in Germany when it was liberated at the conclusion of the war. He retired after 40 plus years with Hilbish Ford in Kannapolis as the sales manager and earning a place for several years in the Top Hatter Club with Ford Motor Company, which honored the top 5% of sales people in the United States. Bill loved watching NASCAR and was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan. His granddaughter Heather, helped take special care of Bill during his last years, which prompted her to pursue a current career in nursing.
