Everette "Curly" Alexander Robins, 96, of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Friday, June 17, 2022.
Everette was born on February 13, 1926, in Gaston County. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 74 years, Betty Jean Robins, and 14 siblings.
Everette retired after working as a mechanic for more than 60 years. He loved working in the yard. Everette cared for Betty until she passed at home. They had an unconditional love that everyone admired and now they've been reunited in Heaven. He never met a stranger and will be remembered for his great sense of humor and never leaving without a tight granddaddy hug. Most of all, Everette was a great man, a wonderful daddy and granddaddy, and will be greatly missed and dearly loved.
Survivors include daughter, Bobbie Jo Kelly Greene of the home; grandchildren, Hollie Gibson (Kelvin) Story of Denver and Jacob (Alexandria Blackwelder) Kelly of China Grove; great-grandchildren, Jacob Werdin, McKenzie Plott, and Calum Kelly; and numerous close friends, including his favorite mailman.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Monday, June 20, 2022, at Covenant Church of Harrisburg. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm, officiated by Rev. Charles M. Efird and Rev. Gene Turner, Jr. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park, Harrisburg.
