Evert Ray Riley, 77 years of age, of Gastonia, passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.
Ray was born March 24, 1939 in North Carolina to the late James Olin Riley and Julia Measmer. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Becky
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial, with full military honors provided by Cabarrus County Honor Guard and NC National Honor Guard, will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis.
Survivors include three sons, Dwayne Mitchell Riley, Jeffery Ray Mullis, Kevin Ray Carroll all of Gastonia; two Daughters, Sherry Lynn Martinez of Locust, NC. and Pamela Denise Carroll of Wilmington, NC and one sister, Joyce Staton of Concord.
Ray proudly served his country in the United States Army.
