Faith Lyon

Faith Ann Lyon, 74, of Concord, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 in Concord.

Faith was born June 18, 1943 in Pennsylvania to the late Erv and Dot Conley. She worked for many years as Financial Secretary and Office Manager of First Presbyterian Church. After retirement, she embarked on her second career as a writer. She was an avid gardener, cook, and author of several novels and short stories. Faith loved to travel, entertain in her home, and spend time with her five grandchildren.

Faith died peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She will be remembered for her colorful stories and sense of humor. Her family and friends will miss her dearly.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held Wednesday at 2:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church- Concord officiated by Todd Hobbie.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Louis "Kip" Lyon, III of Concord, NC, daughter Laura Elizabeth Lyon of Concord, NC, daughter, Rebecca (Pete) Witkowski of Kannapolis, NC, son Paul (Alisha) of Concord, NC, granddaughters Alex and Emma Teague of Concord, NC and Maggie Teague of Manchester, CT, grandsons, Joseph and Thomas Witkowski of Kannapolis, NC, sisters, Cindy Conley and Debbie Lawrence of Pennsylvania, and numerous nieces & nephews of Pennsylvania and Ohio.

Memorials may be made to The Lupus Foundation of America or The Families in Need Fund at First Presbyterian Church, Concord .
