Fay Christine Kerr Turner, 85 years of age, of Indian Trail, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at her home.
Christine was born April 10, 1931 in Mecklenburg County to the late Carl Brevard Kerr, Sr. and the late Fay Christine Kerr.
She was also preceded in death by husband of 60 years, Melvin Ray Tuner, who passed away in 2000; sister, Margaret Watts, and brother, Carl Kerr.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be on Monday at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Midland and will be officiated by Rev. George Hunnicutt. Burial will follow at the Sunset Memory Gardens at 8901 Lawyers Rd., Charlotte.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Eddie) Johnson of Indian Trail; two sons, Randy (Marilyn) Turner of Indian Trail, and Christopher (Kathy) Turner of Indian Trail; four grandchildren, Edward (Nicki) Johnson of Mint Hill, Amanda (Brad) Price of Unionville, Heather Turner of Indian Trail, and Michael (Kristen) Troglin of Charlotte; five great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Chandler, Shane, Caiden, Hunter, and Hayleigh; brothers, Herbert Kerr of Indian Trail, and Jerry Kerr of WA; sisters, Jean Thomas of Indian Trail, and Johnnie Wilder of York, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
